Best verdict — Just A Dad Approved
It IS NOT Just a Dad Approved. After 90+ days of real-home testing, the Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2 earns a Skip It at 6.4/10.
Pros
- Easy setup - Dreame app is mature, day-one onboarding is fast
- Hot-water mop wash + hot air drying at the dock
- No camera - privacy positive for buyers who specifically want that
- Cost to Own lands in the LOW tier across the board
Cons
- Mop pads don't push down enough to actually scrub - they wipe
- No solution tank, no dock dirt detect, no camera - features stripped from the original
- Ad vs Reality FAIL - obstacle avoidance and mopping both failed
